Barry Arthur, Western Artist

The ability to bring into focus not only the heart of the subject but the thought and emotions of the artist, is a prevailing characteristic of Barry Arthur's work.  Working from a palette of basic colors ~ he creates scenes as vivid as the Great Southwest from which they are drawn.

When not researching his next piece or drawn away to an invitational showing ~ Barry Arthur can usually be found at his Cedar Break Gallery in Sweetwater, Texas, which houses his studio, and is operated by him and his wife, Judy.

Unlike many artists, Barry Arthur not only allows the visitor to watch him at work, but often treats them to the story that initiated the painting.
